Come funziona l'app

No, sono indicativi.

In quali lingue è disponibile l'app?

Italiano, inglese, francese, spagnolo e tedesco. Puoi cambiare lingua in qualsiasi momento dalle Impostazioni dell'app, senza doverla riavviare.

Camera-based color detection
Updated: September 2026 (v1.1)

Need help? Write to info@marcoventurelli.com describing your question or issue: we reply as soon as possible.

How the app works

Point the camera at a colored surface, move the crosshair to the point you're interested in, and ColorMatchPro instantly shows the color as HEX, RGB, and CMYK. Use the magnifier loupe to precisely target even small details. Detecting colors, viewing their values, and copying them is always free and unlimited. Saving a color to your library, creating and organizing palettes, and exporting them (as an image or an Adobe ASE file) requires the "ColorMatchPro Pro" unlock, a one-time in-app purchase.

Frequently asked questions

What is the "ColorMatchPro Pro" unlock?

It's a one-time in-app purchase (not a subscription) that unlocks saving colors, creating and organizing palettes, and exporting them as an image or an Adobe ASE file. Detecting colors and viewing their HEX/RGB/CMYK values stays free and unlimited.

I got a new iPhone — how do I restore the Pro unlock without paying again?

Open the app, tap "Unlock Pro" and then "Restore Purchases": if you already purchased the unlock with the same Apple ID, it's reactivated automatically at no extra cost.

Are the color values 100% accurate?

No, they're indicative. A smartphone camera applies automatic white balance and exposure and is not a certified colorimetric instrument like a professional spectrophotometer. ColorMatchPro is meant to give you a quick sense of a color, not a professional print quality check.

Does the app save the photos I point the camera at?

No. ColorMatchPro does not take or save photos or videos: it only reads pixel values from the live video feed, frame by frame, to display the color on screen.

Where are my saved colors and palettes stored?

Only on your iPhone, via standard iOS storage. They are never sent to us or to third parties. You can delete them at any time from the app's library, or by uninstalling ColorMatchPro.

Why does the app ask for camera access?

It's required to analyze the color of the surface you're pointing at in real time — it's the app's core feature. You can revoke this permission at any time from iOS Settings → ColorMatchPro.

What languages is the app available in?

Italian, English, French, Spanish, and German. You can change the language at any time from the app's Settings, without needing to restart it.

Does the app work in the Simulator or on iPad?

ColorMatchPro requires a real iPhone with a camera: its core feature is unavailable in the Simulator, which has no access to a real camera.

I found a bug or have a feature idea — who do I tell?

Write to info@marcoventurelli.com: we read every report and consider it for future updates.
